Principal
As a certified public accountant (CPA) and a certified tax strategist (CTS), Larry has specialized training and experience in strategically reducing taxes and saving his client their hard earned cash.
After graduating from Arizona State University with a MBA and acquiring his CPA, Mr. Stone spent the first ten years of his career in the corporate world working for Phelps Dodge, General Dynamics and Martin Marietta performing financial management activities.
In 1996, he opened his CPA business specializing in small business organizations such as the construction and real estate industry in Frisco, Colorado. Larry’s firm provides a process to identify tax reduction opportunities, assisting clients with implementing their plans and then measuring the cash savings realized.

Leslie Gunder, EA
Tax Compliance
Leslie joined Stone CPA in 2014 and was recently enrolled to practice before the IRS. Leslie has a degree in Financial Management from California State University, Long Beach and a MBA from the University of Chicago. Leslie has over 20 years of finance and consulting experience with businesses large and small. When she is not working on your tax filings and managing our compliance process, she can be found skiing, hiking, or mountain biking all over Colorado and Utah.
Jon LaMarie
Tax Compliance
Jonathan joined Stone CPA in late-2016 after graduating from the University of Colorado, Denver, with a undergraduate degree in Business Administration emphasizing in finance and accounting. Originally from Oceanside, California, Jonathan has spent the last fifteen years between Denver and Summit County. Currently, Jonathan is in the process of completing the requirements to sit for the Certified Public Accounting Examination. In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys spending time outdoors, including snowboarding, hiking, and camping.
Whitney Smith
Business Development
Whitney has been with Stone CPA since February of 2017, shortly after leaving the Small Business Development Center. Whitney is originally from Birmingham, Alabama and has her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Birmingham-Southern College. She moved to Summit County in 2013 to work for Copper Mountain Resort and enjoy the skiing, hiking, and camping that Colorado has to offer.
 Miranda Faulkerson
Administrator Coordinator
Miranda joined Stone CPA the summer of 2017 as our Administrator Coordinator. Miranda is a Colorado Native and has worked as an admin for various small businesses in the county for the past 11 years. She is currently in the process of getting her degree in Business and Accounting at Colorado Mountain College. Miranda stays busy in her spare time having fun with her three little boys. They enjoy doing things like playing, hiking, camping and snowboarding.
Ann Gassman
Staff Accountant
Starting with Stone CPA in 2005, Ann has a degree in Agricultural Economics from Washington State University and completed course work towards a Masters in Computer Science. Having worked for mostly large companies (Boeing, Wang, Computer Science Corporation, SASC), in a variety of positions (budgeting, finance, software programming, database analyst, and software testing for the government), she is enjoying the downsizing and small community atmosphere that Stone CPA and Frisco has to offer. Here she does client payroll, bookkeeping, and tax work. She enjoys hiking with her dog Odin, skiing with her husband (snow and water), and rowing.
Juan Pardo, CPA
Tax Compliance
Juan is a certified public accountant. He received an MBA in International Business and his Bachelors of Science in Hospitality Management from Florida International University. Juan has over 15 years of experience in accounting and finance primarily in the real estate industry. In his spare time, Juan enjoys staying active outdoors by running, playing tennis and activities with his family.
